The escape of the butterflies

I was accustomed to them and I did not realise that they were leaving

I was enchanted with the beauty and the colours of those butterflies in my garden

But there was stunning perfume I did not feel as before

Only then I realised that those butterflies were disappearing

Sometimes a few butterflies hovered over the flowers

But it happened for a short time, until they disappeared completely

The garden is so empty now and without colour

And I still remember how flowery it was

I'm aware that I was  spending so much time admiring the butterflies

And I forgot to take care of the garden

There was no one to water the flowers and they withered and soon they dried out

The perfume and the flowers are gone and they have taken all the butterflies with
